Personal cloud vault

Your personal vault is an encrypted cloud store for your own connections — a way to sync hosts across your devices and reach them from the web, without sharing anything with anyone.

Under the hood it's the exact same technology as Teams: the vault is a private, single-member team that only you belong to. So it inherits the same zero-knowledge guarantees — the server stores ciphertext only, and only your account's keys can open it.

Getting a vault

A personal vault is created automatically when you register. If your account predates the feature, one is created for you the first time you need it — you don't have to set anything up.

Save a connection to the vault

In the desktop app, a local host has a ☁ (save to vault) action. It seals the connection and uploads it, then turns that local host into a synced vault host in place — no duplicate.

Connections you create in the web app go straight into your vault too.

Use it on another device

Sign in (or link the app through your browser) on a second device and your vault connections sync down automatically, the same way team connections do. Your credentials are decrypted locally, on that device.

Web access

Everything in your vault is available from platform.sshache.com/app — handy when you're on a machine where the desktop app isn't installed.
